- May 18 “Cars 3”: Cars 3 screening set in conjunction with mental health event. In conjunction with the City of Redlands Movies in the Park free screening of “Cars 3” on May 18, the University of Redlands Alliance for Community Transformation and Wellness will host the fourth annual “Out in the Open” community event. Out in the Open is an information and resource fair designed to increase awareness and decrease stigma associated with mental illness in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. “Out in the Open” will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, May 18, followed by Movies in the Park activities beginning at 6 p.m. in Ed Hales Park on the corner of Fifth and State streets in Historic Downtown Redlands. Movie goers are encouraged to arrive early and bring your own lawn chair and/or blanket. The movie begins at dusk (approximately 7:45-8:00 p.m.). Activities for children include music and games with prizes.
