  • Smiley Library – In March of 1897, Albert K. Smiley purchased sixteen acres of downtown land to build Redlands its new library building. The A.K. SMILEY PUBLIC LIBRARY and surrounding Smiley Park, so named by a grateful city council in honor of the donor, was dedicated on April 29, 1898. The Smiley is not only a library but an repository of local history. The newest wing houses an small museum of various fascinations.

  • San Bernardino County Museum Day. Open 9am-5pm. Founded in 1952 by the San Bernardino County Museum Association. It opened to the public in 1957, and was donated to the County of San Bernardino in 1961. Located in Redlands and contains three floors of exhibits, the Exploration Station, an Education Center, native plant and cactus gardens, citrus groves, curatorial offices, and research and reference collections.
