Located in eastern Inland Empire, IE’s Morongo Basin is one of the county’s hidden gems. Located within the Mojave Desert aka The High Desert, the Morongo Basin lies east of the San Bernardino Mountains and north of the Coachella Valley.

Destinations within The Morongo Basin include Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, Morongo Valley, Landers, Pioneertown, Joshua Tree, and Wonder Valley.

The Morongo Basin offers major attractions for outdoor enthusiasts!  At the top of everyone’s list is Joshua Tree National Park, but there’s also the Sand to Snow National Monument featuring Big Morong  Canyon Preserve, The Pacific Crest Trail, the San Gorgonio Wilderness area of the San Bernardino National Forest and Mount San Gorgonio rising above the basin on the west, the highest point in Southern California.
